Kokomo Kids Eat

Bruno’s Pizza- Kokomo
1215 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765)459-7177

A last-minute change in dinner plans made for the chance to try a new pizza place in town. This was the first time our family had eaten Bruno’s Pizza and it was delicious. Bruno’s offers drive-thru pizza pick up, traditional carryout, and delivery with Door Dash and Orange Crate. The kids were most surprised by the pizza being cut into strips. We’re used to seeing triangular and square shaped pieces of pizza, but not strips (which were actually much easier to be eaten with by tiny hands). The classic build-you-own cheese and pepperoni pizza didn’t disappoint, but our kids shared that the cheese was their favorite part. Our oldest said “I like that it's really cheesy, Mom!” and the youngest responded, “Yeah, so yummy in my yummy!” We can’t wait to order carry out again sometime and maybe get a specialty pizza to share.

Coyote Kids Free Summer Running Program

When I reflect upon playing outside as a kid, I think of running. Playing tag, trying to beat the wind or a car driving past my house, running is something all kids enjoy and is a great way to be active. The Coyote Kids program is managed by volunteers that are a part of our local running club, the Club Kokomo Roadrunners. It began as a backyard family activity and has grown to be one of the most anticipated events of the summer for kids. Each week at Jackson Morrow Park runners will check-in, run their race, and receive a ribbon and a popsicle at the finish line. Toddler races (25-yard and 50-yard) begin in small waves at 6:15 p.m. Other races including the 220-yard, quarter mile, half mile, and mile runs begin around 6:30 p.m.  You can register your children for Coyote Kids online now and find more details on the Club Kokomo Roadrunners Website or the Coyote kids Facebook page.
