Pride, Hard Work, and Hoofprints: Livestock Show Highlights from the 2025 Howard County 4-H Fair
The heart of the Howard County 4-H Fair has always been rooted in tradition, and at the center of it all are the livestock shows. This is where months of dedication, early mornings, and countless hours of hard work come to life as local 4-H members proudly present the animals they’ve raised and cared for.
The Kokomo Post team spent time ringside capturing the energy, pride, and victories that make these shows such a meaningful part of the fair. From cattle to pigs, the barns and show arena were filled with young people putting their skills and determination on full display.
One of the most anticipated competitions of the fair is the Supreme Showmen, where the best of the best from each species compete head-to-head, showing off their versatility, showmanship, and confidence across multiple animals. Our team was there to capture the highlights, from the intensity of the arena to the well-deserved celebrations as this year’s Supreme Showman was crowned.
Our photo gallery from the livestock shows offers a glimpse into those unforgettable moments—the focused faces of showmen leading their animals, the supportive high-fives from family members on the sidelines, and the quiet, behind-the-scenes scenes where kids tend to their animals with care and pride.
For many, the livestock shows aren’t just about ribbons or trophies—they’re about responsibility, community, and tradition. These kids represent the next generation of agriculture in Howard County, and their passion for what they do is unmistakable.
