We Visited Dutch Bros, and It Is Pure Holiday Joy
I went to the brand new Dutch Bros Coffee on its opening day in Kokomo, and let me tell you, it is nothing short of adorable.
Dutch Bros fans have been hyping this, and I’ll admit I was skeptical. But the minute I pulled up, I could feel the energy. Cars were lined up in the drive thru, people were walking up to the stand with excitement, and the whole place felt like a little burst of holiday cheer landed right in Kokomo.
The launch team is made up of people from all over the United States, and they are festive as heck. When I walked up, holiday decor was everywhere, the music was blasting, and every single person working seemed genuinely thrilled to be there. The vibes were so positive and upbeat that I couldn’t help smiling through the whole experience.
Dutch Bros gives you two ways to order. You can pull through the drive thru or walk right up to the window, which makes it feel almost like a little neighborhood hangout spot.
They also have an app that their fans are serious about. Everyone in line was talking about it, so I downloaded it too. I am a sucker for a good sticker, which they were handing out, so that was a bonus.
But the real question is about the coffee. For my first drink, I ordered the Annihilator. Based on the name, I thought I was about to drink something that would leave me shaking, but it was actually chocolate macadamia nut perfection. Sweet, smooth, and way more delightful than it sounds. I also tried a dirty chai, which was fantastic as well. Nutty, spicy, and overall really nice.
The whole experience was an instant mood boost. Dutch Bros brought some major holiday spirit to Kokomo, and I am here for it. If you haven’t gone yet, go grab a coffee, get your sticker, and soak up the good vibes. It is such a fun addition to our little city.
