Eastern football fans are ready to bring the energy when the Comets kick off the season at home. Many were in the stands last fall when Eastern captured the program’s first sectional title, and the feeling of being part of history is one head coach Josh Edwards and his returning players are determined to experience again.
That title run came after Eastern rebounded from a 1-4 start to win seven straight games. Now, with key returners like starting quarterback Gibson Eagle and two-way standout Abe Edwards, the Comets are aiming even higher in 2025.
The road won’t be easy. Rivalry matchups with Northwestern and Taylor, along with a challenging conference slate, mean every week will be a test. But it’s a test the Comets are determined to pass.
