Hey, Kokomo parents – listen up! If you're anything like me, you're already mentally prepping for summer break and that inevitable moment when your kid looks at you with those tired eyes and says, "I'm sooo bored." 🙃 Don’t worry, I’ve got just the spot to save your sanity and theirs!
Next time you’re at Markland Mall, take a stroll over by Ben’z Pretzels and you’ll notice a little arcade that’s packed full of fun. Yep, tucked away in that corner is The Fun Zone, and let me just say—it lives up to the name!
This place is low-maintenance and it’s small enough that you don’t have to chase your kids around for hours, but packed with just the right amount of entertainment to keep them busy (and happy!). Inside you’ll find:
Classic claw machines (aka kid magnets)
Air hockey table for some sibling rivalry fun
Racing games, basketball hoops, and more arcade classics
And just when you think that’s it—surprise! Right outside The Fun Zone are two vending machines that are as fun as the games inside. One is a balloon machine where you can watch your balloon inflate in real-time, and the other is a cotton candy machine that spins your treat right before your eyes. I’m not even kidding—I was mesmerized. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.
Let’s be honest, this is a win for everyone involved. The kids are entertained, and you get to sneak in a little shopping. This is what I call a Kokomo parent hack.
