Muncie Post 19 erupted for 10 runs in the fourth inning and rode a no-hitter from Jared Ladd to a 12-0 win over Kokomo Post 6 (Junior) in the final game of Day 2 at the 2025 Post 6 Wooden Bat Tournament, played Friday at CFD Investments Stadium at Highland Park.
Ladd went the distance for Post 19, tossing a four-inning complete game while striking out three, walking three and allowing no hits. Kokomo managed to get two runners on base in the bottom of the first but failed to move them into scoring position — their only real offensive threat of the night.
Muncie opened the scoring in the top of the first when Gage Emberton crossed the plate. A bases-loaded walk later in the inning made it 2-0. Both teams were held scoreless in the second and third innings.
But the game unraveled for Kokomo in the top of the fourth. Post 19 sent 14 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs on three hits, three walks and four Kokomo errors. Two Kokomo pitchers were used in the inning, but neither was able to stop the momentum.
Brooks Hillis got the start for Post 6 and went three innings, allowing six runs on six walks and two hits, striking out one. Tarrh entered in the fourth and gave up six runs on three hits and one walk, unable to recover from the defensive miscues behind him.
With the loss, Kokomo fell to 0-2 in tournament play.
The Post 6 Wooden Bat Tournament continues Saturday and Sunday at CFD Investments Stadium. Both Kokomo Post 6 teams will be back in action as tournament play rolls on.
