Kokomo Post 6 Teams Look to Make Noise at Wooden Bat Tournament

After just one game on opening day, the 2025 Post 6 Wooden Bat Tournament picks up steam

Friday at CFD Investments Stadium at Highland Park, with both the Kokomo Post 6 Senior and

Junior teams set to take the field.

The four-day tournament, which runs June 26–29, features teams from Indiana, Ohio and

Michigan, bringing a competitive regional field to Kokomo. With both Post 6 squads in action

Friday, it’s a key opportunity to gain momentum on their home field heading into a busy weekend.

Here’s a closer look at Day 2 matchups for Kokomo Post 6 — and predictions for how each team

will perform.

South Haven Post 502 Blaze (Sr) vs. Kokomo Post 6 (Sr)

Records: South Haven 10-4 | Kokomo 9-1

This matchup features two strong teams with impressive starts to their seasons. South Haven

comes in with a 10-4 record and a balanced roster capable of putting up runs quickly. But Kokomo’s

Senior squad has been one of the most consistent teams in the tournament field, entering at 9-1

with strong pitching depth and timely offense.

Playing at home gives Post 6 a slight edge, and if the pitching staff continues to limit free passes,

Kokomo should be able to control the tempo. Expect a competitive game early, but the depth of

Post 6 likely separates them in the late innings.

Winner: Kokomo Post 6

Napoleon Post 300 River Bandits vs. Kokomo Post 6 (Jr)

Records: Napoleon 8-6-1 | Kokomo 1-10

Kokomo’s junior team enters Friday’s matchup struggling at 1-10 and searching for a breakthrough

on their home field. Napoleon Post 300, meanwhile, comes in with a solid 8-6-1 record and steady

play throughout the season.

Napoleon’s balanced lineup and solid pitching staff should allow them to set the pace early. Kokomo

will have to tighten up on the mound and find timely hits to keep the game within reach.

Winner: Napoleon Post 300

Muncie Post 19 vs. Kokomo Post 6 (Jr)

Record: Muncie | Kokomo 1–10

Kokomo’s junior squad enters Friday’s clash at 1–10, struggling on both sides of the ball as they look

to notch their first win of the tournament. While playing at home could provide a spark, Kokomo

will need a cleaner defensive effort and more production at the plate to stay competitive.

Muncie enters as a tough opponent, and all signs point to a more balanced, consistent team capable

of taking control early. Unless Kokomo turns things around quickly, it could be another uphill battle.

Winner: Muncie Post 19

The Kokomo Post Sports team will be on site Friday to cover the Kokomo Post 6 junior team’s

matchup against Muncie Post 19, bringing fans live updates and in-depth coverage from Highland

Park. With games scheduled throughout the week, this tournament is an excellent opportunity for

baseball fans to experience top-tier competition and nonstop action all weekend long.
