By Heidi Pruitt

Summer is around the corner, which means it’s almost patio season. We look forward to enjoying all of our favorite Kokomo summer activities, but we also love the simple things in life — like a nice dinner, lunch or drink on a patio. That’s why we compiled a list of the top outdoor dining spots in Kokomo.

Sun King Brewery

Making the very top of the list is Sun King Brewery located on charming Buckeye Street.

Sun King’s patio isn’t just a regular patio, it’s a cool patio because it comes equipped with outdoor games like corn hole and ping pong. Not only can you enjoy some delicious brews on the patio of Sun King, but they also allow you to BYOF — bring your own food!

Here’s the big selling point for us though- Sun King is family (and dog) friendly!

Located at 500 N. Buckeye St. A, Kokomo

The Foxes Trail

The Foxes Trail patio is, hands down, one of the best place to be during the summer months! Not only is it located in beautiful downtown Kokomo with a view of the Wildcat Creek, the bike trail and the big beautiful bridge lights up at night, making for a perfect view. The patio seating also doubles as the best seat in the house during the Riverwalk Concert Series. You can enjoy local live music and enjoy a nice meal or, my personal favorite, the Long Island iced tea slushies on this 21-and-over patio!
