From Juneteenth to Pride events, Father’s Day and more, there’s so much to celebrate in Kokomo this weekend!

Palmer’s Jewelry is set to present Whiskey, Wheels & Watches, a Father’s Day event featuring a car show, adult beverages, food trucks, and a showcase of exquisite timepieces from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 17 in downtown Kokomo.

Crystal Wand Creations, otherwise known as “The Coolest Little Shop in Town,” is this week’s hidden gem because if you aren’t looking, you might miss it!

The historic bricks of the 500 block of North Buckeye Street will transform into a vibrant celebration of diversity and unity from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 24, as the Kokomo Pride Festival returns for an all-out afternoon of live performances, food, art and more — all centered on embracing inclusivity and a sense of community.

For more than a century, the Kokomo Park Band has been sharing the talent of more than 100 of central Indiana’s best musicians with the city of Kokomo. Check out the 2023 season lineup here.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Deriving its name from combining "June" and "nineteenth", it is celebrated on the anniversary of the order, issued by Major General Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865, proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas.
