Arties Tenderloin is Kokomo’s longest-running restaurant. Having served Kokomo breakfast and lunch since 1938, this may not be a “hidden gem” but up until recently, I hadn’t had the chance to divulge in an Artie’s breakfast experience…until now.

One thing a mask can’t hide is the Unlimited Potential of the kids in the UP Program at Kokomo Urban Outreach.

One of Kokomo’s favorite Mexican restaurants is getting a new home and a new name this week.

Earlier this month, Don Pancho’s Mexican Bar & Grill announced its relocation to 1527 Home Ave., Kokomo, the former location of Home Plate Bar & Grill. After roughly two weeks, the restaurant is now open and welcoming guests into the new space — with a new name.

For the second year, Advanced Medical Imaging in Kokomo is helping close the gap between accessible mammograms for uninsured women in our community. The second annual Breast in Show auction and dinner is 5 to 10 p.m. Friday Sept. 22 at Bel Air Events in Kokomo.

Shut down the historic streets of Buckeye in downtown Kokomo and discover how rock music can provide more than entertainment to a community at the first-ever Access to Rock Concert on Saturday, Sept. 16. From 5 to 10 p.m., three bands will be taking the stage to rock out and break barriers to help provide accessible healthcare to residents of Howard County at a minimal cost.

Up the bright pink stairs at 1022 S. Main St., Kokomo is B & B Creative Studio, offering guided canvas painting and other DIY project workshops for all ages and abilities.
