Libraries all across the nation love the summer as much as we do! The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is gearing up for hosting their annual Summer Reading Program and many other fun and educational programs that you will not want to miss this Summer. These programs will encourage your family to read, learn, and grow this summer all while having fun with their peers. This week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Memorial Gym to see the Indiana All-Stars game. With this being Flory Bidunga’s last game in Memorial there was a lot of excitement from the crowd to see the All-Stars take on the Junior All-Stars. Bidunga put on a great performance with 34 points and 22 rebounds.The Senior All-Stars came out on top ending the game with a 104-96 point win.
Coyote Kids Celebrates 20 Years in Kokomo
Throughout the last 20 years, Coyote Kids has become a cherished tradition in Kokomo. This six-week, all-ability children’s running program is a completely free way to get out of the house and do something fun outside with your family this summer!
Summer Meals Available for Local Youth
School is out for summer! While it feels like a vacation to most, it also creates a significant change in the daily schedule of a student who normally ate breakfast or lunch at school. We’re thankful there are multiple sites that provide free or low-cost meals through the coming weeks for local youth.

The second annual Whiskey, Wheels and Watches event is returning to Palmer’s Jewelry from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.
This event not only brings watch enthusiasts to downtown Kokomo but also gives those looking to celebrate Father’s Day early an opportunity to experience family-friendly entertainment and what our local downtown area has to offer.

At the Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7 in downtown Kokomo, there won’t just be 6,800 servings of strawberry shortcake and an expected crowd of 10,000 people. There will also be 140 local artists and vendors with strawberry-themed goods available for purchase.

The Kokomo Post Sports - Game of the Week: Kokomo BobKats vs. Derby City Distillers (Photo Gallery)
This week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Kokomo High School in the Haworth Gymnasium. We saw the Kokomo BobKats take on the Derby City Distillers. The BobKats were able to get more shots to fall throughout the game, and they ended the contest with a 132-113 win over the Distillers.
