A dominant first half gave Kokomo a 39-23 lead, but McCutcheon fought back after the break. A’Dayveon Young’s clutch defense and second-half scoring helped the Wildkats hold on.

Kokomo now plays for the sectional title Saturday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Gym. Let’s pack the house! 🔥🐾

Taylor and Tipton, two familiar foes, have a history of regular-season and IHSAA tournament battles. Tuesday’s Sectional 39 opener was no different. The game remained close in the first half before Tipton pulled away late for a 41-31 victory.

Senior Night at Eastern was full of emotions, but Carroll (Flora) had other plans, spoiling the celebration with a 73-50 win.

The Comets started strong, keeping it close early, but Carroll pulled away before halftime. Eli Faulkenberg took over in the third quarter, scoring 15 points and sealing the victory. Despite Eastern’s efforts, Carroll’s balanced attack proved too much.

BobKat basketball is back!

On Saturday, March 1, the Kokomo BobKats will tip off their fifth season. The BobKats have captivated basketball fans in the City of Firsts, satisfying their itch to watch the game they love. The atmosphere during BobKats games is often described as electric, with the DJ, drumline, and dancers helping keep the energy high throughout. While the in-game entertainment is top-notch, the product on the court is even better.
