The 2025 Howard County 4-H Fair: A Summer Tradition That Never Disappoints

There’s something special about summertime in Howard County, and nothing captures that feeling more than the annual Howard County 4-H Fair. Year after year, families, friends, and fair enthusiasts flock to the fairgrounds for what has become one of the most beloved summer traditions in our community. And let’s be honest, there’s just no better way to soak up summer than with the perfect mix of food, fun, and family memories.
This year’s fair was packed with everything we love: rides, classic fair games, mouth-watering food, and of course, those timeless attractions we’ve all come to look forward to. The fairgrounds were alive with energy as the Midway lit up with colorful lights and the sound of laughter filled every corner. Kids clutched giant stuffed animals won at the ring toss, teens braved the spinning rides, and parents happily indulged in lemon shake-ups and fried Oreos. Let’s not forget the livestock barns, where 4-H members proudly showed off their hard work.
Our team from The Kokomo Post was out at the fair on Thursday for Wristband Night, one of the most popular evenings of the week, when the rides run non-stop and families can enjoy unlimited fun. We hit the Midway to capture all the excitement—kids racing from ride to ride, groups of friends laughing between games, and families making memories that will last all summer long.
Of course, the fair wouldn’t be complete without those quirky, can’t-miss favorites like Grandpa Cratchet with his old-timey humor or the adorable monkey tipping his top hat to every passerby. Crowds gathered for the talent show to cheer on friends and neighbors as they took the stage, the pageant brought another wave of excitement, as we celebrated this year’s fair royalty and recognized the young leaders stepping into the spotlight.
The 2025 Howard County 4-H Fair was everything we hoped for, a place where generations come together, memories are made, and traditions live on. Our team from The Kokomo Post was there to capture all the best moments.
