PREDICTION: Kokomo’s 2025 Football Season Sets the Stage for a Promising New Era

The high school football season will be here before you know it, and there’s no better time than now to start predicting regular-season records for county schools.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll break down the 2025 football schedules for each county team — predicting wins and losses as we build up to what should be a special season of high school football.

Last year, two Howard County schools — Eastern and Taylor — made program history by capturing their first sectional titles. With the talent returning across the area, it wouldn’t be a surprise if two schools brought home sectional titles again this fall.

So, follow along as we take a closer look at all five county schools and predict their regular-season records for the 2025 season.

Kokomo High School
Head coach: Caleb Small (first season at Kokomo; 9-2 overall in his second year as a head coach)

A new era of Kokomo football begins Aug. 22, when Caleb Small coaches his first game as the Wildkats’ head coach.

Small found instant success in his first season as a head coach, guiding Northwestern to a 9-2 record and leading the Tigers to their first sectional win in more than a decade. That experience should fuel his quest to bring consistent success to Kokomo’s program.

The offense will look different from what Wildkat fans have grown accustomed to — adding even more buzz heading into the season.

Next week, we’ll shift our focus to Western as we break down the Panthers’ 2025 schedule and predict how their season might play out. Stay tuned!
