Have you ever watched someone try a strange snack on TikTok and wondered where in the world you could actually buy it?
Well, now you might not have to look any further than Kokomo!
Exotic Snack Guys has officially opened inside Markland Mall, bringing an exciting selection of international snacks, unusual drinks, viral treats and novelty toys to our community.
In the latest episode of Kokomo Uncovered, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, we're taking you inside this colorful new addition to Markland Mall to see what all the excitement is about.
Not Your Average Candy Store
Exotic Snack Guys isn't your typical candy shop.
This business specializes in unique, hard-to-find and international snacks and drinks, including unusual flavors from familiar brands and treats that have become popular across social media.
The company got its start in Chicago in 2023 when two high school friends turned their interest in international snacks into a business.
Since then, Exotic Snack Guys has expanded to multiple locations, offering products from approximately 40 different countries.
And now, Kokomo shoppers can get in on the fun!
From TikTok to Your Taste Buds
If you've spent any time scrolling through TikTok, you've probably come across videos of people taste-testing unusual snacks from around the world.
Exotic Snack Guys gives shoppers the opportunity to try some of those unique flavors for themselves.
The company's broader product selection has included items like White Peach Fanta, Matcha Kit Kats, unusual Oreo flavors and international Lay's potato chips, along with a variety of candies, cookies and specialty drinks.
Product availability varies, but part of the fun is browsing the shelves to see what unexpected flavors you might discover.
You might recognize the brand on the package, but the flavor could be something you've never seen before!
It's the perfect excuse to grab a few friends, pick out some unusual treats and host your own taste-testing challenge.
Who knows? You might discover your new favorite snack or something you'll never want to try again!
More Than Just Snacks
Another fun surprise waiting inside Exotic Snack Guys? Toys!
In addition to snacks and drinks, the store also carries popular novelty toys, including the squishy toys that have become increasingly popular on social media.
These colorful, squeezable toys are a hit with kids and collectors alike, making the store a fun place to browse even if you're not necessarily looking for something to eat.
Between the snacks, drinks and novelty items, there's plenty to explore.
A Fun New Addition to Markland Mall
One of the things that makes Exotic Snack Guys such an interesting addition to Kokomo is that it offers a shopping experience built around discovery.
You don't necessarily have to walk in knowing what you're looking for.
In fact, that's part of the appeal!
Whether you're searching for a viral treat you've seen online, looking for a unique gift or just hoping to find something fun to do with the kids, this is a store where browsing is half the experience.
And instead of ordering international snacks online or traveling out of town, Kokomo residents now have another local option for discovering unusual treats.
