Inside The Willow Room at Jefferson House of Flowers

Did you know there’s a place right here in Kokomo that’s serving families during life’s most important moments? If you haven’t been to Jefferson House of Flowers lately, it might be time to plan a visit because they’ve expanded in a big way.

We recently featured The Willow Room, the newest expansion at Jefferson House, in an episode of Kokomo Uncovered, partnered with Community First Bank of Indiana. And while it might seem a little unexpected for a bank to be talking about something like this, it actually makes perfect sense. Community First believes in supporting local businesses—and at The Kokomo Post, we’re all about that too. Pretty un-bank-like, right?

Located at 4300 W. 100 N. in Kokomo, Jefferson House of Flowers is owned and operated by Truman and Kelli Elkins, alongside Jonathan and Kayla Keith. While The Willow Room may feel new, the heart behind it is rooted in nearly a decade of serving families through flowers, remembrance, and care.

The Willow Room is a thoughtfully designed sympathy and Christian bookstore created to support individuals and families navigating grief, loss, faith, and life’s hardest seasons. This isn’t a traditional gift shop… it’s a calm, intentional space built to offer peace, hope, and comfort when words are hard to find.

Inside, you’ll find Christian books, Bibles, devotionals, journals, sympathy gifts, memorial keepsakes, cremation jewelry, personalized remembrance items, cemetery décor, Kokomo-themed items, and thoughtful gifts for everyday occasions. Many items can be customized, allowing families to create something deeply personal to honor a loved one or meaningful moment.

The space is welcoming and unhurried, with a quiet area where visitors can sit, sip coffee, read, or simply take a breath. The staff is there to gently guide guests whether they’re selecting flowers, a memorial piece, or a gift of encouragement.

In addition to The Willow Room, Jefferson House is also home to JH Events, an event space offering both indoor and outdoor areas for gatherings. With the addition of The Willow Room, JH Events can now also host funerals, memorials, celebrations of life, and funeral dinners, providing a neutral, comforting space for families, especially those without a church home.

As featured on Kokomo Uncovered, Jefferson House of Flowers and The Willow Room are continuing to grow with intention, expanding how they serve Kokomo families during life’s most meaningful moments.
