Sports Content Contributor Application
The Kokomo Post is seeking a temporary freelance Sports Content Contributor to assist with local sports coverage during March, with the potential for the role to extend into April.
This position involves attending local sporting events, capturing high-quality photo and video content, reporting game highlights and scores, and producing timely sports coverage for digital and social platforms. This is a paid freelance/stringer opportunity with the potential for future collaboration with The Kokomo Post based on the quality of work, reliability, and professionalism demonstrated during the assignment.
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have your own equipment (phone, computer, camera)
• Flexible availability for evenings and some weekends
• Experience capturing photo and video content
• Comfortable reporting highlights and scores during games
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Familiar with content tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar
• Comfortable speaking on camera if needed
• Ability to work with quick turnaround deadlines and submit content within 24 hours after games
