Welcome back to another article for Kokomo Uncovered, where we showcase something unique, special, or brand new in Kokomo—thanks to our incredible friends and partners at Community First Bank of Indiana. You might be thinking, “Why is a bank hyping up a local brewery?” Well, that’s because supporting local is kind of their thing—pretty un-bank-like, right? And obviously, it’s our thing too! This Kokomo Uncovered is showcasing Thursday night specials at Half Moon!

Half Moon has been a staple of Kokomo for 20 years now, and offers great food and unique beers that they brew in-house, not to mention their iconic bar, which has served as a nice spot for friends to meet for drinks. Here’s where Thursday comes in; every Thursday, Half Moon has dinner specials that always give you a run for your money.

This Thursday’s special—their fried green tomato BLT with zesty ranch and crispy bacon, made my taste buds happy. Along with the Thursday special, they also have a beer pairing that they think would go best with it. Typically, I don’t enjoy IPAs, but this one was quite good. The IPA paired really well with the BLT. Now along with the beer pairing, Half Moon also offers a drink special on Thursdays only. Now, if you have a friend or special someone who doesn’t like beer, they can get a special drink!
