Morning Farmhouse and Slice – Breakfast and Grill: A Fresh, Family-Breakfast Experience in Kokomo

Introducing Morning Farmhouse: The New Spot That’s Changing the Breakfast Game in Kokomo!

Kokomo loves breakfast, that’s no secret! From cozy diners to modern cafes, this city knows how to do morning right. But now, there’s a new player in town that’s raising the bar: Morning Farmhouse.

Open for just over a week, this brand-new breakfast destination is already making waves. Personally, I’ve been there twice already and let’s just say, it’s earned a permanent spot on my breakfast rotation.

A Family Dream, Freshly Served

Owned by partners Jose Dorantes and Luis Hernández, along with their wives, Morning Farmhouse is truly a family affair. Their goal? To serve the Kokomo community with warmth, freshness and authenticity.

“At Morning Farmhouse, our mission is simple: Pure. Fresh. Natural.” the owners shared.

That philosophy shines through in every dish. Luis says his personal favorites are the comforting yet healthy options like the Beef Manhattan, while Jose’s go-to is the Kale Vitale, a powerhouse plate built for energy and wellness.

A Fresh Space with Farmhouse Charm

Before you even take a bite, Morning Farmhouse pulls you in with its vibe. The interior has been completely remodeled. It’s bright, inviting and filled with the kind of cozy, farmhouse touches that make you want to stick around for awhile. Oh, and don’t forget to snap a pic with the friendly horse statue out front, it’s already becoming a local icon.

The atmosphere isn’t just about decor, the people make it special, too. Every staff member I met radiated friendliness and genuine hospitality, making the whole place feel like home (if your home also happens to serve incredible brunch).

Let’s Talk About the Food

Now for the good part… the food.

Morning Farmhouse takes all the best parts of traditional American breakfast and elevates them with bold flavors, thoughtful presentation and local ingredients. It’s not “just another breakfast joint”, it’s an experience.

The first dish I tried was the Morning Glory Chicken Sandwich, a thick, fluffy brioche bun stacked with crispy fried chicken and a slightly spicy sauce that had me rethinking what brunch could be. One bite in and I knew Kokomo’s breakfast scene had officially leveled up.

Then came the Berry Patch French Toast, thick slices with hints of vanilla and amaretto, topped with fresh kiwi, strawberries, and blueberries. A dish that tastes just as good as it looks.

Coffee, Juice and All the Extras

And what’s breakfast without great coffee? Morning Farmhouse takes that seriously too. They brew a Brazilian and Guatemalan blend, ground fresh in-house for each batch. Whether you’re team hot coffee, iced latte or matcha, they’ve got you covered.

And if you’re more of a juice person, get ready. They’ve got three signature juices, all made fresh in-house:

  • Green Juice: kale, apple and a whole lot of clean energy

  • Carrot Juice: a bright, refreshing blend of carrots and oranges

  • Beet Juice: beets, apples and a touch of earthy sweetness

Plus, they offer gluten-free and gut-friendly options, ensuring everyone can enjoy something delicious.

A New Kokomo Favorite

Morning Farmhouse may be the new kid on the block, but it’s already setting the tone for what breakfast in Kokomo can be… wholesome, creative, and full of heart.

If you haven’t been yet, grab your coffee-loving friends, bring your appetite and make your way to Morning Farmhouse. You’ll leave full and already planning your next visit.
