This week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Kokomo Municipal Stadium to see the Kokomo Jackrabbits take on the Royal Oak Leprechauns.

We are in the heat of Summer and there are many opportunities for family movie outings coming up in and around Howard County. You can choose to escape from the heat and watch a movie indoors or have a picnic and let the movie shine bright on the screen outside at dusk. On Friday we took a trip to downtown Kokomo to visit the Strawberry Festival to check out all the amazing food and activities! With beautiful clear skies and a cool breeze, we were ready to tackle the day. Check out these shots of food, people, and fun times.

The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is lucky enough to have two bookmobiles that together, reach readers all over our community. Just in case you can’t make it to the library, the library will try to make it to you with multiple public stops available this summer. Here’s where you can find the bookmobile this week.

Fishing is seen as a relaxing pastime spent in the great outdoors. Thanks to the Jim “Moose” Carden Kids Fishing Clinic, youth ages 6-12 years old are learning more than just the recreational skills of the sport.

On Wednesday night we visited Memorial Gym, in Kokomo, to see the Indiana All-Stars game between the senior and junior girls. The Senior All-Stars held the lead all the way until late in the fourth quarter. The juniors never stopped fighting and were able to snatch the lead in the last few minutes, and they finished the game, ahead of the seniors, with an 83-80 point win.
