But what truly sets Village Creation Station apart is its hands-on creative space. There’s a pottery and painting area that’s perfect for kids to sit down, get messy and make something of their own. Saga’s mission goes beyond selling handmade goods, she’s building a place where people can slow down, use their hands, and rediscover the joy of creating.
“I think people need to get back to using their hands and being creative while also building relationships,” owner Saga Taylor shared. “Creating and connecting with people is so good for mental health, and I think it’s something the world needs more of.”
The shop also offers art studio memberships, workshops and classes, as well as seasonal community events, making it a true hub for creativity in Kokomo. One of Saga’s favorite parts of running the shop? Watching people surprise themselves. “It’s amazing seeing that moment when creativity clicks for someone,” she said. “When they realize they can make something they didn’t think they could.”
