Kokomo Post 6 17U Looks to Bounce Back Against Plymouth Post 27

Baseball returns to CFD Investments Stadium, Highland Park this weekend as the Kokomo Post

6 Junior team takes on Plymouth Post 27 in the 2025 Post 6 Junior Summer Classic Tournament.

The three-day event, set for June 20–22, features top American Legion teams from across Indiana

and Ohio competing in one of the Midwest’s premier summer showcases.

Let’s break down what to expect from this weekend’s matchup—and which team has the edge

heading in.

Kokomo Post 6 (1-6) vs Plymouth Post 27 (7-4)

Despite a slow start, Kokomo Post 6’s Junior team has shown competitiveness in recent games.

Following their first win over Tell City Post 213, Post 6 narrowly missed back-to-back victories,

falling short by just one run. This weekend, they’ll need a spark to overcome a strong Plymouth Post

27 Diamond Spyders squad.

Plymouth began the season on fire, winning six of their first seven games, though a recent slump

has likely affected team morale. That should turn around as they face Kokomo. While Post 6 will

benefit from playing at home, their ongoing offensive struggles make it difficult to see them

producing enough runs to defeat Plymouth.

Winner: Plymouth Post 27

With hometown pride on the line and a full weekend of action ahead, the Post 6 Junior team will

look to make a statement against a tough Plymouth squad. Expect a competitive matchup as both

teams aim to leave their mark on the Summer Classic.

The Kokomo Post Sports team will be at CFD Investments Stadium providing coverage, including

live updates and highlights throughout the game. Be sure to follow along and come out to support

some of the area’s top young talent.
