Eastern and Tipton delivered another thriller Friday night in the Class 2A Sectional 36 semifinal, with the Comets holding on for a 41 to 40 win in Greentown. 💥

Kaleb Hurt was electric, scoring three total touchdowns — including a kickoff return and a 59 yard touchdown pass to Cody Tarrh. Gibson Eagle threw three touchdown passes, connecting twice with Bently Hullinger and once with Hurt, while Eastern’s defense came up big with a late stop on Tipton’s two point try to seal the win.

With the victory, Class 2A No. 12 Eastern (10-1) advances to the sectional championship and will travel to No. 4 Eastbrook on November 7.
