Northwestern’s homecoming magic wasn’t enough, as Maconaquah handed the Tigers a 42-28 loss. 💥 The two teams went back and forth through the first half, but the Braves pulled away with 14 unanswered points after the break.

Running back Marcell Sims stole the show, scoring four touchdowns, including a 52-yard sprint that gave Maconaquah the lead for good. Northwestern had its moments — Colin Cook tossed two touchdown passes, and Ty Kidwell pinned the Braves at the 1-yard line with a perfect punt — but the Tigers couldn’t keep pace in the second half.
